DURAGRID^® (Custom Fiberglass Grids & Grating)

Duragrid is a custom manufactured grid or grating system designed to accommodate specific plant applications that cannot effectively be met by a standard fiberglass grating. This product offers options such as selection of open space, bar shape, cross-rod placement, custom fabrication, custom resin or color. Customizing can include special resin systems, special bearing bar shapes and sizes, an infinite number of bearing bar and cross-rod spacings and custom color.

Design Options Bar Profiles, Spacing and Cross-Rod Spacing

Duragrid offers a variety of bearing bar shapes along with various bearing bar and cross-rod spacings depending on the design requirements.

• Panel Size and Shape
  Strongwell can make panels to exact sizes to eliminate waste and fabrication costs in the field. Maximum size is 5' in width by 20' in length. Width is the out-to-out dimension of the cross-rods, length is the length of the bearing bars.
• UV Inhibited
  Standard vinyl ester resin contains a UV inhibitor. This, along with a surfacing veil, provides excellent UV protection but will, when used outdoors, fade in color over a period of time.
• Fire Retardant
  The standard vinyl ester resin is fire retardant and meets the requirements for Class 1 flame rating of 25 or less per ASTM E-84 and the self-extinguishing requirements of ASTM D-635. Non-fire retardant resins or other requirements can be made on special request.
• Coatings
  Bearing bars can be UV coated for added protection and color stability for outdoor applications.
• Surface Texture
  Grids can be ordered with or without an epoxied and grit surface. The grit surface creates an anti-skid surface when used as a walkway and/or can increase wear resistance. A variety of grit material and textures can be ordered.
• Anti-Skid Surface
  The standard resin is a premium grade fire retardant vinyl ester. Other special resins can be quoted on request.
