Aluminized
sheets are carbon sheets coated on both sides with either pure
aluminum designated as Type 2 or an aluminum 5% to 10& alloy designated
as Type 1. Coating weight for Type 1 is either 25 or 40 (regular).
The aluminum/silicon coating gives the sheet a high reflectivity
and is intended primarily for heat resisting applications.
Type
2 aluminized sheet is used where corrosion and heat are involved
and the excellent heat reflecting properties can be used to confine,
control, direct, or divert the flow of heat in heat transfer operations.
Alro carries aluminized sheet in various pattern sizes as CQ T140
in accordance to ASTM A463.
