Alro Steel is now stocking Duplex 2205 stainless steel plate. This is a two-phase, ferritic, austenitic 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum, 5-6% nickel alloyed stainless steel.

Characteristics include high yield strength. (double that of the standard austenitic stainless steel grades). It demonstrates good fatigue strength, as well as outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking, crevice, pitting, erosion, and general corrosion in severe environments. It is commonly used in processing equipment, transport, storage, chemical processing, and oil and gas applications.

2205 stainless steel plate is available in 96" x 240" plates in 1/4", 1/2", 3/4", and 1" thicknesses.
