APOS is Alro’s low cost, highly efficient, portable barcode scanning system for inventory replenishment. APOS is a visual reordering system using Kanban replenishment principles. It works well with lower cost items in “free-issue” areas throughout the plant or in central crib areas where a perpetual on-hand inventory control system does not make sense.

The APOS Process

• User provides Alro with a list of tools to manage using APOS
• User prints barcoded labels for each item to affix to shelf or bin location.
• User scans barcoded label for each item needing to be replenished.
• User plugs scanner into PC
• PC will retrieve from Alro descriptions, pricing and reorder quantities.
• User adds PO number if desired and order is uploaded to Alro.
