MIL-A-46100 Armor Plate

Alro is a supplier of MIL-A-46100 Armor Plate. This High Hardness Armor plate has been selected for use by all departments and agencies of the I.S. Department Of Defense. MIL-A-46100 Armor Plate is DFARS Compliant (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement).
Testing to meet National Institute of Justice Level III Ballistics is available upon request. It has a guaranteed Brinell Hardness of 477-534 BHN and every plate is subjected to Charpy Impact Testing as required.

About MIL-A-46100 Armor Plate
This specialized steel plate is tempered at very high temperatures in order to attain a very tough surface. The hardness is typically between 477 and 534 BHN. Armor Plate is typically used in military vehicles.

Every plate is subjected to Charpy Impact Testing as required.
Typical Uses
Alro 46100 Armor Plate is used in military applications for stopping high velocity projectiles.  A popular high hardness armor grade (HHA), 46100 is selected for use by alldepartments and agencies of the Department of Defense. This grade is produced in plates up to 2 inches (51mm) thick with hardness requirements of 477-534 BHN and CharpyImpact testing on every plate.
