260 Brass (CDA C26000)

Alro stocks 260 Brass sheet (also known as cartridge brass or yellow brass) - the most popular and economical of the brass alloys. Brass sheet offers good corrosion resistance to many chemical corrodents as well as industrial atmospheres and marine environments. CDA C26000 brass is produced as a combination of copper and zinc and has the highest ductility in the yellow brass series. It is an attractive material with a smooth, yellow brass finish. It may be polished to a gold-like appearance or given a brushed satin finish. 260 Brass forms a thin protective patina, which unlike steel and iron, will not rust when exposed to the atmosphere.

Properties
The physical properties of 260 Brass greatly depend on any tempering processes that have been done to the material. If you require certain physical properties for your application, please contact an Alro Sales Representative to make sure that this material will meet your needs.
