SustaPEEK XDT is the first X-Ray detectable PEEK sheet and rod
for machined parts and components specifically designed for high temperture applications in the food processing industry.
It is FDA compliant and meets the federal requirements for food contact.
SustaPEEK XDT offers the best balance of properties of all thermoplastics materials. In addition to outstanding mechanical
properties, chemical resistance and thermal performance, SustaPEEK XDT can withstand long term continuous temperatures of 480°F
as well as exposure to hot water or steam with low moisture absorption. This makes it the material of choice for high temperature
applications in food processing.
SustaPEEK XDT has been proven to be detected in a particle as small as 3mm cube on production lines running as fast as 250 feet-per-minute.
Together with Polystone® M XDT (UHMW-PE) and Sustarin® C XDT (Acetal),
three of the most commonly used engineering plastics are now available in these special X-ray detectable grades.
