5 Axis Waterjet Cutting

Alro Plastics is now offering 5-Axis Waterjet Cutting. This machine uses a high-pressure jet of water and abrasive substance to cut through our plastic materials. The Waterjet is capable of cutting intricate parts to print that are not possible on other machining equipment.

With a maximum part size of 78” x 157” and the ability to cut up to 10” thick material in a single pass the Waterjet has increased our in house capabilities to better serve our customers. The Mach 4 series has the advanced Dynamic Waterjet® XD technology for faster, more accurate bevel and 3D cutting. The Waterjet is ideal for cutting fiberglass, G-10, glass-filled plastics, rubber, urethane and other challenging materials that are not suited for our CNC Routers.

This state of the art 5-Axis Waterjet gives us the ability to produce parts to print from as thin as 1/16” thick all the way up to 10” thick slab. With the addition of Dynamic Waterjet® XD technology we are able to produce parts faster, more accurate bevels and do 3D cutting. The Waterjet is also capable of cutting some of the tougher materials like fiberglass, G10, glass-filled plastics, rubber and polyurethane.
