Torlon (polyamide-imide) exhibits exceptional physical and chemical properties. It can withstand continuous exposure at temperatures from 450ºF to 500ºF (230ºC to 260ºC). Torlon 4301 and 4203 resins provide better compressive strength and higher deflection temperature than most other high performance thermoplastics. Their low coefficient of thermal expansion and high creep resistance provide excellent dimensional stability over a wide range of temperatures.

Chemically, Torlon resins are resistant to attack by aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated and fluorinated hydrocarbons and most inorganic salts and acid solutions.

As of July1, 2010 Quadrant EPP has changed the name from Torlon 4203 to Duratron T4203 and Torlon 4301 to Duratron T4301.
