CAD/CAM Programming

Alro Plastics uses CAD/CAM Programming to receive customer quote requests as well as to program jobs for our CNC routers. For those who don't know, CAD/CAM is short for Computer Aided Drafting/Machining. All our fabrication jobs are programmed in CAD/CAM and saved for future reference.

With CAD/CAM we are able to recreate any print or drawing in our software and then program the tool paths needed to make the part. We are able to run 3D simulations on the computer before wasting any time or material on the machines. Once the program is correct and ready, it is sent out to the machines to run. We are able to accept customer supplied prints and drawings in .DXF and .DWG formats. If you would like your print quoted, simply submit it to plastics@alro.com and we will give you a quote on the finished part.

With our CAD/CAM software, we have the ability to create the part and do a test run in the virtual world. This helps to ensure we have the part programmed correctly before machining it. Once the program is created for the fabricated part, it is sent out to the CNC Router to be ran. The operator pulls up the program, loads the required tooling and runs the parts to print. Alro Plastics has machined a wide range of parts and plastics during our 15 years in machining. Add that to our ISO certification and you have a quality vendor you can rely on everytime.
