UHMW reprocessed, partially composed of reprocessed UHMW-PE material, has an overall lower property level than the virgin UHMW-PE.
The reprocessed grade shows a favorable price-performance ratio for applications in many kinds of industries with less demanding
requirements.
UHMW reprocessed is available in sheet/slab form and comes in both black and green colors. There will be very tiny, colored specs
of reprocessed materials throughout this material. Unfortunately reprocessed UHMW is not FDA or USDA compliant, so it is not suitable
for those types of applications. It is however less expensive than virgin UHMW and an ideal material for rack jobs, guide rails, chain
guides and many other industrial applications.
Note: Alro is currently stocking this material in Black only; the Green is a non-stock item and may involve a lead time from the mill.
