8620 Cold Finish Bar
8620 is the most widely used carburizing steel alloy. The nickel content of 8620 CF imparts good toughness and ductility, and the chromium and molybdenum increases hardness penetration and wearability. In addition the properties of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum are carefully controlled. The end result is a product with a strong tough core and high case hardness. It machines at 110 SFM and has good welding qualities.
