2023 Al Glick Youth Football Camp

Posted on 06/23/2023

The 4th annual Al Glick Youth Football Camp took place Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Jackson High School's Withington Stadium on Dungy Field and the new Al Glick Athletic Center. Over 240 Jackson County boys and girls from area schools participated in the one-day event.  The camp coaches included 9 University of Michigan football players working with 22 Michigan high school coaches. Attendees of all skill levels participated in numerous football training activities throughout the day.

Every year the camp has featured a surprise guest speaker. This year, former NFL Indianapolis Colts player and Jackson native Khari Willis was the guest speaker at the camp. Willis is a former Michigan State University football player who graduated from Lumen Christi High School in 2015. He went on to play Safety for the Colts from 2019 to 2022. The campers enjoyed getting to talk with Willis and having their camp t-shirt autographed. An added treat again this year was RJ's Metropolitan Ice Cream of Jackson who brought their ice cream truck for the event.

The Al Glick Youth Football Camp is powered by Legacy Football in Brighton, Michigan. Legacy Football provides developmental platforms for youth to college student-athletes as well as professional athletes.
