The 5th annual Al Glick Youth Football Camp took place Sunday, June 9, 2023, at Jackson High School's Withington Stadium on Dungy Field and the Al Glick Athletic Center. Over 200 Jackson County youth from area schools participated in the one-day event.  Attendees of all skill levels participated in numerous football training activities and worked together throughout the day. This year’s coaches included most of the University of Michigan football freshman class and over 30 Michigan high school coaches.

The event highlight was two surprise guest speakers from the University of Michigan football team. Donovan Edwards a senior leader on the team and Semaj Morgan a sophomore who is expected to be a key part of the Wolverine’s offense this year. Edward’s accomplishments include MVP of the 2022 Big Ten Championship and first player with multiple 40-plus-yard TDs in the CFP National Championship Game. As a Freshman, Morgan was named Offensive Freshman of the Game six times and had an honorable mention in the All-Big Ten selection. Another highlight of the day was the return of RJ's Metropolitan Ice Cream Truck to treat the kids after all their hard work. 

The Al Glick Youth Football Camp is powered by Legacy Football in Brighton, Michigan. Legacy Football provides developmental platforms for youth to college student-athletes as well as professional athletes.
