Alro took part in two local Manufacturing Day events. The Enterprise Group of Jackson, JTV, and local manufacturing companies held a virtual Manufacturing Day in Jackson, Michigan. Alro Plastics, along with other Jackson area businesses released a video to Jackson area high schools and colleges that included a look inside manufacturing facilities, demonstrations, interviews, and more.

Through Capital Area Manufacturing Council (CAMC), Alro Steel in Charlotte, MI joined other local manufacturing companies at an in-person event at Charlotte High School. The Alro team discussed the processes and operations at Alro Steel as well as opportunities for recent high school graduates.
Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) is held annually on the first Friday in October. The goal is to teach students and parents that today’s manufacturing requires a skilled labor force that includes robotics, engineering, and much more and to change perceptions of manufacturing work. On MFG Day, local manufacturers open their doors to show students and parents the reality of today’s work environment and the excellent long-term career options available.
